The suit and tie resemble body armor. In medieval times, knights went to war wearing suits of armor. Today, businessmen must wear a suit and tie, at the very least at business meetings. Society demands that the modern man be competitive in the job market and earn a high salary, and a business dress code is important to this. A man in a suit always has more opportunities, people listen to him more because the suit makes him “serious.” It is a sign of power, money, and status. It is a restrictive item of clothing, one that frames the physique but inhibits freedom of motion. And this is only on the outside. Business etiquette, subordination, and corporate rules of behavior point to the lack of freedom that exists in the male world. But do men want to be liberated? This series is a visualization of
